Frequently Asked Questions
1. How does Finder work?
Finder uses advanced AI technology (Google Gemini) to analyze the visual elements in your photos—such as landmarks, architecture, vegetation, signage, and other environmental clues—to estimate where the photo was taken. Simply upload or take a photo, and our AI will provide its best guess for the location.
2. How accurate are the location results?
The accuracy of results varies depending on the content of your photo. Images with distinctive landmarks, signs, or unique architecture tend to yield more accurate results. However, please note that AI can sometimes make errors or provide incorrect information. Finder is designed for entertainment and informational purposes only, and results should not be relied upon for navigation or critical decisions.
3. Are my photos stored or saved?
No. Finder has a zero-retention policy for images. Your photos are processed in real-time by our AI provider and are immediately discarded after analysis. We do not store, save, or archive any of your photos on our servers.
4. How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID settings. To cancel or modify your subscription, go to Settings on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, select Subscriptions, find Finder in the list, and choose the option to cancel or change your plan. Changes will take effect at the end of your current billing period.
5. What should I do if the app isn't working properly?
If you're experiencing issues with Finder, try the following steps: First, ensure you have a stable internet connection, as the app requires connectivity to process images. Next, try closing and reopening the app. If the problem persists, check for app updates in the App Store and install any available updates. If none of these steps resolve your issue, please contact us at the email address below.
